How is 'Fformiwla Un' pronounced?
It's Welsh for Formula One and is phonetically pronounced simply; 'Formuwla een'.
Can we book the showcar directly with FF1?
Yes. Although installations are often arranged via Agencies or Event Organisers, we are happy to advise and guide individual bookers or venue management through the process.
What does it cost to hire the Showcar?
Far less than you might expect! We've included a COST GUIDE that will give you a realistic idea of the likely costs.
Once we know a little more about your upcoming event, we will send you a fully costed proposal. . . without obligation.
Is delivery free?
Whilst there is no extra charge for delivery and installation within 50 miles of Haverfordwest, a fuel surcharge of £0.75 per mile (or at a fixed rate agreed in advance) will be applied for locations outside of this range.
The entire county of Pembrokeshire is within our 50 mile FREE delivery radius, including; Milford Haven, Pembroke, Pembroke Dock, St Davids, Fishguard, Narberth & Tenby. Also less than 50 miles from Haverfordwest are the conurbations of; Carmarthen, Cardigan, Ammanford and Llandeilo.
Slightly further afield. . . Swansea, Neath, Llanelli, Cardiff, Newport Gwent, Port Talbot, Cwmbran, Myrthyr & Aberystwyth fall between 80 and 100 miles, with Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham, Gloucester and Hereford all approximately 120 miles distant.
Birmingham, Wolverhampton and the wider West Midlands (including the NEC) is around 150 miles away. . . with most of Greater London falling inside the 200 mile range.

Can the car be booked anywhere in the UK?
Yes. But please bear in mind that installations outside of South Wales will attract additional delivery cost in the form of fuel surcharges.
Who looks after the replica during an event?
Our delivery driver (costumed in Ferrari race overalls and a reproduction Kimi Räikkönen crash helmet) will supervise each installation, then stay with the car throughout. . . to look the part, and keep the crowds at bay!
How much space do we need?
Formula 1 cars are far bigger and more imposing than you imagine, which is largely responsible for the sheer visual impact of the replica! The FF1 display car is 4.55m long, 1.8m at it's widest point, and almost a metre tall at 959mm.
We suggest that, for safety, a metre wide 'quiet area' should be imposed all around the replica.
Can the car be displayed outside?
Weather permitting, yes. However, the car must be covered in the event of rain so, if showers are forecast or expected, we suggest having a 'pop-up gazebo' or other shelter to hand.
Can the car be displayed on upper floors?
Weighing approximately 220kg, the fully assembled replica can be carried by four people but, for easier handling, we have designed the showcar with removable wheels and nose cone. . . reducing the dimensions of the largest element to 3.2m x 1.3m and the weight to 130Kg.
Can we book the tribute car for more than one day?
Of course. . . and each additional day on-site attracts a greater discount!
Can we include our own logos or branding?
Yes! Because we have omitted the Marlboro logos in order to comply with UK tobacco advertising restrictions, the prime display area (on the rear wing) is available to overlay your own branding. Ask FF1 to add
Can you build an F1 showcar for us?
Yes. . . but bear in mind that the current F2007 replica is unique and was crafted entirely by hand. Because we only work on one project at a time, the construction process, from initial commission to delivery, will take anything up to two years from receipt of the order.
Browse photos taken in our workshop, and follow the replica's construction step-by-step on our Facebook page at: FFORMIWLA 1
Can we buy the existing car outright?
Never say never! Our F2007 show car cost over £25,000 to build, and is in demand for events throughout the year. . . but make us an offer!
Can guests sit in the car?
Although the replica has a fully fitted cockpit, with a five point harness and removable steering wheel, for insurance reasons we do not, under normal circumstances*, allow anyone other than the Zed to be photographed sitting in the car.
* The exception would be to facilitate press photographs or videography featuring the booker or venue manager. Just ask the Zed!
